Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Wow, what a busy week it’s been – and it will only get busier from here on in! I’ve started planning my Christmas decorating and I actually bought my first gifts, which definitely has me in the mood!

It was also a big week on the blog as I shared my 6th Annual Holiday Gift Guide! THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

I’ve been adding a few little pieces as I get ready for holiday entertaining. The brass lanterns here and here that I featured in my most recent Thanksgiving table are my new favorites, this wood bowl is chunky and substantial and I love it on a dining table (would look so cute full of ornaments or greenery!). And I couldn’t resist these cute cedar napkin rings – can’t wait to use them on a holiday table!

Also, some of you wrote me about my favorite garland (it was back-ordered until after Thanksgiving) but now it’s back! It’s so real looking and worth every penny! And if you’re an advent calendar person, I thought I’d share these because sometimes they’re really hard to find! This one is super cute, and this beauty sold out super fast last year.

And I don’t start any holiday season without ordering a few of my favorite candles! This one and this one are my all-time faves (I usually order several because they sell out – fast!)

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

Since we’re talking gift guides, a few things on my own list this year are a pair of cashmere joggers and matching hoodie. I love that they make being cozy feel elevated, and these are hands down the best prices around!

This long sweater (30% off) (it’s like a daytime robe!) a new pair of my all-time favorite suede slippers from J. Crew (they’re on sale right now and sell out every year so if you’ve ever thought about getting them, now’s the time!), and a pair of real gold hoops – every pair I’ve ever owned are fake and turning and these are the perfect size.

I’m also in the market for a new wool coat and no one does them like J.Crew (plus they are on major sale this week!) This parka is gorgeous (and 50% off!) and super popular, this coat (44% off) is super chic (above), as is this one (45% off) (really beautiful in the winter white!)

I did just buy a sweater this week that I couldn’t resist! This chunky turtleneck (50% off) is all cotton and looks more expensive than it is (and of course, I love the stripes!)

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

Have you heard of the show The Staircase? It’s based on the true story of the mysterious death of a North Carolina wife and her husband’s (possible) involvement. We loved the show and I now found out this show is actually based on a documentary of the same name which is supposed to be even better! 

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

We’ve been trying some fall cocktails the last few weekends so that I can pick one to serve on Thanksgiving. I love to serve one special cocktail that can be prepared ahead so I don’t have to mix drinks all night (one of my Thanksgiving tips).

We tried this one last year and it was really good. I also want to try this one, and how good does this one look (above)? Decisions, decisions!

Also dying to get the new Barefoot Contessa cookbook!! (I guess that should go on my Xmas list, too! 😉 )

RANDOM THOUGHTS

I’m in love with my friend Juliet’s pretty green kitchen!

Aldi’s Famous Wine, Cheese and Beer Advent Calendars are Here (I’ve heard they’re hard to come by but I’m really hoping to snag one of the wine or cheese ones this year!)
