Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
It’s been a busy week here on Maison de Cinq! I’ve been sharing all of our Gift Guides – if you didn’t get a chance to check them out you can see the Mens & Womens here and the Gift Guide by Category here!
I’ve also begun decorating for Christmas this week! I know – it’s early. But as a blogger I need to get my tours out early so that I’m providing inspiration for you!
And now let’s talk Friday Favorites – where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that you might love, too! 😉

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR
This home is so gorgeous – plus it’s decorated for Christmas! You’re gonna want to check it out here.
You guys have been loving what I’m sharing lately, both in the Holiday Gift Guides and in Friday Favorites!
Lots of you loved these cute maple leaf plates from my Thanksgiving table (on sale now too!), this Joyeux Noel pillow (I bought it in store yesterday and it couldn’t be cuter – plus it’s reversible!), this cute French-themed doormat (love!), my favorite faux cedar garland as well as my favorite cedar wreath, this yummy holiday candle, and these Balsam Fir tabletop trees. and you went crazy for this juniper garland, too!
If you missed the guides, I’ve got Mens & Womens, as well as guides by category. If you love home decor or are buying for those who do, be sure to check out the Home/Hostess guide as well as my personal favorite, the Gift Guide for Francophiles – that’s us! 😉
THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING
As for what fashion you’ve been loving lately, this super-cozy robe was the number one bestseller, next are this cashmere poncho (perfect for travel or gifts and 40% off now!), this gorgeous sweater (above – also 40% off ), and this great striped turtleneck.
And coats! You went crazy for this classic wool parka (almost 50% off) as well as this stunning coat (40% off). Also this favorite lip set (another great gift), this eye shadow set, and this cute French-inspired sweatshirt were popular, too!
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO
The Crown is back!! One of my favorite shows ever, Season 5 started this week and I’m giddy about it! It reminded me how good the show is – and the actress who plays Diana is amazing. And if for some reason you’ve never watched it before, The Crown is a must see – start with the first season and enjoy!
THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING
It’s been raining (storming, actually!) here so it’s been all about cozy food lately. I made our favorite Macaroni and Cheese (above) earlier this week, and last night we had this easy and delicious Chicken Tortilla Soup!

Hi Sheila—I’m a huge fan of your blog, and it’s especially inspiring during the holiday season. Thank you! And yes, that house and decor are absolutely amazing. I love the simplicity and calm feeling from the light woods and color palette. A quick question, as I couldn’t put my fingers on it. Any chance you could source what appears to be a tall, carved wooden (or stone) Santa figure on the kitchen counter? I’d love to purchase it if it can be found.
All the best and happy holidays!
Aww thank you Charmain- that is such a kind comment and I so appreciate it!
I also saw that Santa (that house!!) – it does look like wood to me. Possibly a carved wood antique statue of Santa? I would google or look on Ebay or Etsy and see if anything turns up!
Thanks so much!
Sheila
Especially love your finds this week….and THAT house tour😍LOVE
Aww love hearing that – thank you JC! And yes – that house is incredible isn’t it??
