Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Wow, has December flown by or what?! I know we always say that (or maybe that’s just me?) but this year seems especially, ridiculously fast! I have yet to wrap even one gift, but I have done about half of my shopping and my cards, so I guess there’s that!

And before we get into all the goodies this week, I wanted to let you know that next week I’ll be skipping Friday Favorites as it’s two days before Christmas and my kids will all be here by then. I have that cocktail I promised coming this weekend – sorry I know I promised it this week, my Covid kinda slowed everything down over here!

There are also a couple of posts coming early in the week and then I’ll be taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with my family. Plus, I figured you’ll all be busy celebrating with your families, too. 😉

But I’ll be back here the following week for the last Friday Favorites of the year, so be sure to stop by then!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

Sharing this gorgeous but Simple Holiday Home Tour (this girl’s garland game is strong!)

Since I know many of you are still looking for gifts, I thought I’d share a few favorites that I’ve been buying or that you all have loved. And I’m only sharing items that will arrive in time for Christmas! And by the way, you can also look for ‘buy online, pick up in store’ when it’s available – that way you can be sure to get it in time!

Oh and if you are more organized than most and have done all your shopping, maybe treat yourself to something for all your hard work! 😉

Gifts for the home, hostess gifts, or decor lovers: this portable wine chiller is so elegant, this yummy candle is perfect for anyone from a friend, to a teacher to your MIL! And if you feel like buying something for yourself (I’ve been known to do this 😉 ) this gorgeous tray is a favorite!

Small and fun tech itemsthis extra long phone charger was one of my favorite gifts last year (and it’s currently 40% off). A practical gift that is surprisingly useful, especially if you need to plug in in unfamiliar places where your cord won’t reach (ie; the airport, hotels, etc), I bought this magnetic phone car mount for everyone, and this travel jewelry case is useful and cute.

Cozy favorites: everyone loves these pajamas (some colors on sale) (I own several colors), these cozy slippers are 25% off, and this cashmere wrap is a favorite gift to give or get – so beautiful and practical (on sale in gray and navy!)

For the fashion lover: consider a cozy cashmere sweater (on sale!) This classic crewneck (comes in tons of colors!), or this essential v-neckThis necklace is so pretty and perfect for almost anyone!

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

Let’s talk holiday wear! I think I shared with you that we are going to our one and only holiday party tomorrow – yay! I’m wearing these faux leather pants – which I highly recommend – can be dressed up or down! (these are also a great option), with this top (above) and this adorable clutch (love that it’s not black and separates from everything else!)

But we are also going to do a little New Year’s gathering so I’m eyeing a few things for that as well! (Can you tell I’m a little excited to go out again?!)

If you have an event to go to this dress is gorgeous (and 60% off!), and this one (25% off) is so elegant. And you can never go wrong with a pretty top like this one or this one (so cute and over 60% off!) to wear with these velvet jeans. Top it off with a statement earring like this pair or these stunners (can you believe that price?!), and a fun heel like the ones I bought here, or this dressy classic (on sale) and a cute bag (perfect for NYE and on sale!) and you’re set!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

A newly discovered holiday movie for us is Last Christmas, starring the adorable actor from Crazy Rich Asians.

And I’m also dying to see Spirited starring Will Farrell and Ryan Reynolds, however, it seems to be getting terrible reviews! What do you guys think? Have you seen it?

Oh and I know I can’t recommend the movie The Holiday again (#sorrynotsorry!), but I can recommend this video featuring behind-the-scenes secrets with director Nancy Myers – so fun!

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

Of course, I’m all about serving some fun, festive cocktails this season! These delicious Pomegranate Cosmopolitans (above) are perfect for any gathering, easy to make and they look gorgeous!

Do you bake for the holidays? Most years I do, whether I’m going to a cookie exchange or making homemade treats for neighbors. One of my favorite cookies to bring or give are these Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies.

And here are some fun quick breads perfect for gifting: this Orange Cranberry Bread looks easy and delicious, as does this Apple Butter Bread.
