Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families and those you love! Ours was low-key but so nice. My oldest is gone now, but the younger two are still home and I’m savoring it since they will be leaving early next week!

I’ve missed you all during Christmas week and I’m excited to be back and sharing with you! I’ve got lots of fun finds for you today, and lots of new content planned for the month ahead. I’ll be sharing design trends as well as some organizing posts, along with winter decorating tips and a few wellness posts, too!

And now let’s talk Friday Favorites!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

This home is so pretty, with clean and simple design and textural touches. See the whole house here.

Decorating after Christmas can sometimes be hard. It’s gloomy and with all the holiday decor gone, it can feel so bare! My usual solution is to do a tiny seasonal refresh with a few things I love.

And right now the Studio McGee Target line just released a smaller, early winter/spring line with some really cute finds! (A lot is sold out already, sadly, but many can be ordered online/picked up in store which is what I did).

I just ordered this rustic vase and love it! Great texture and it looks way more expensive than it is, ditto for this gorgeous gold bowl. And this marble dish is out of this world good! Seriously looks so high-end – if you can get it, do it!! Another high-end looking piece is this solid marble figural piece – gorgeous, heavy and so unique! And if you’re in the market, I love this gorgeous linen chaise (the price is soo good!)

Pillows are also a great place to refresh and I’m loving that she’s doing green! Seems like the perfect bridge before the blues of spring and summer. This block print gives Serena & Lily vibes and would look great paired with this plaid one

Ballard Designs is one of my absolute favorite places to shop and right now, almost everything is on sale! Love this vase, this pillow cover is so cute and on super clearance, how about these mercury glass vases to add some light to the dreary days (they’re 60% off!), and this candle sconce is so pretty and could work almost anywhere. And I just ordered this stunning rug for the new guest room! (FIY, Ballard’s is one of the few places that has rug swatches and they send them for free!)

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

So it’s been super cold here with lots of rain over the last month so as soon that happens, I’m all about updating my cold-weather gear!! Last year I ordered an LLBean puffer but ended up returning it and I still need one! I’m considering this one (love the longer length and the Frappe color – above), this one (great basic and half off!)  and this one is adorable and comes in 5 colors.

There are also lots of well-rated options on Amazon including this one I bought my daughter and I may just get (20% off), and this one which is super popular!

One thing I can’t stand is cold feet, so I’ve latched onto the waterproof boot thing (why had I never had them before??) For more fashion-forward days I love these booties and this pair (both 30% off) Both are chic and definitely waterproof. If I’m needing more of a rain/snow or something more casual, these are rated really well, as are these leather ones, and these are an all-time favorite!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

It’s that time of year when all the really good movies start coming out! We actually went to the theater to see The Fabelmans – wow, I’ve missed that so much! And we also recently streamed The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery which I actually enjoyed more than the first one.

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

I’ve been craving soup, soup, and more soup! It’s been cold and rainy which makes a hot bowl of soup so satisfying. Some of our favorites are this Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup,  this Baked Potato Soup. and this French Onion Soup is soo good!
