Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
I’m back from a short but much needed 2-day trip to Santa Barbara with my husband. We relaxed, got massages (something I’ve done only about twice in my life!), ate yummy food, read, and even snuck in a little wine tasting. It was the perfect little trip, and we also celebrated his birthday!
And now that I’m recharged I’m ready to be productive! Planning on doing the rest of my closet organizing this weekend, getting to my pile of ironing that’s about 3 feet high (do you put it off like I do???).
Also on the schedule for this month, finishing the plan for the guest room (stay tuned!), as well as (hopefully) deciding on some rugs… fingers crossed! 😉
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites!
THIS POST MAY INCLUDE AFFILIATE LINKS. CLICK HERE FOR MY FULL DISCLOSURE POLICY.
THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR
One of my favorite French-inspired homes! See the whole house here.
During my search for rugs I found two that I absolutely love and ordered in a small size to take a look at first. This one is really gorgeous and has strong potential as does this one (I love that it seems blue and green at the same time!) I also ordered this one for the guest room. It’s always been a favorite and is now on sale! My friend has it and it’s gorgeous in person. And if you need a neutral one, I saw this Studio McGee rug at my local Target and it’s great!!
I fell madly in love with this new line of rustic pieces! This vase and this bowl are stunning – and the prices are so good! (links aren’t always working but they are the Artisan Studio vases). I also stumbled on this French-inspired mirror that is pretty, made from solid wood (yay!), and a great price for the size.
And I also have Valentine’s Day on the mind! I never go too crazy but I love a cute doormat like this one (soo cute!) or this one.
THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING
I’m always looking for sweaters or tops with a little detail or interest that make them special. I’m totally crushing on this adorable checked sweater (above) and this one has interesting lines (and I love the green color).
Or if you’re like me and want a cute Valentine’s themed top (or need a gift), this sweater is adorable (and 50% off), this cute one is 40% off, and I love this one (and the price is so good!)
A few random favorites: These lo-top sneakers are my new fave. They’re like an elevated version of a Converse, go with everything, and are so comfy! Another fave is this handbag. I have it in two colors, it’s real leather, the perfect size and now 50% off!, and this sweater lounge outfit is incredible! So chic, great ratings, comfy and you can’t beat that price!
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO
I loved the book Big Little Lies so I’ve been anxiously reading everything she wrote before that one. I love her breezy style and her characters feel like friends! Right now I’m reading The Last Anniversary, and I really liked What Alice Forgot and The Husband’s Secret.
THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING
Some comfort food recipes that look good, like this Chicken in a Pot with Lemon Orzo, Wild Rice & Orzo Chicken Soup (making this this weekend!), and this Roasted Potato Leek Soup.

I save all your posts but, in my mind, I know there was something I saw weeks or months later that I now want! But, for the life of me, I have no idea what week you sent it. Please … is there a way to resolve this – a quick link to products?
Sheila says
Hi Cheryl – thank you for such kind words! I love that you love the series so much! Unfortunately, I don’t have any kind of quick list of the links. The best or easiest thing to do would be to go to the LTK app (download for free if you don’t have it). You can then go to the category marked “Friday Favorites” and all the posts are there. However, I don’t link every single thing the blog post have so it could be that you still won’t find it, but I think there’s at least a good chance you will!
Here’s the link: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/maisondecinq/collections/11ec9a81513894efb5aa0242ac110004
Other than that, you’d have to go to the posts on the blog and scroll through to see if the graphics look familiar and maybe that would jog your memory here: https://maisondecinq.com/category/friday/
Hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing today. I especially love Steve Cordony designs! They are so classic and beautiful. Also, thank you for all the clothing fine. I really do need more lounge clothes especially ones I can answer the door in!😂The sweater top and wide leg pants set looks great! Thank you, Sheila!
