Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, movies, podcasts, fashion finds and more! And though it won’t all be French, some of it definitely will!

 

 

It’s September – can you believe it?! And as much as I’ve been savoring summer the last few weeks, I have to admit I’m getting excited for fall! I had my first Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew yesterday, just lit my favorite pumpkin candle today, and I’m about to make some pumpkin bread this weekend. I’m all in!

 

And I’m excited to share my finds this week with you! Friday Favorites is where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that you might love, too! 😉

 

 

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

This remodel by Shea McGee is downright stunning! Wait until you see the dated ‘befores’!

 

This throw from Pottery Barn has been a favorite of mine for years (I buy it for gifts all the time) But I just found it at Walmart for less than half the price! What?!! And these brass candleholders, same thing! I’ve been buying mine at Terrain, but Walmart’s are priced for far less!

 

 

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

Remember a few weeks ago when I talked about the fabulous travel/cooking show, Bobby & Giada in Italy? Well, I have another one for you. It’s food. It’s travel. It’s history. Searching for Italy is hosted by Stanley Tucci and we love it! 

 

Have you heard of the new show Nine Perfect Strangers? I just started it. It stars Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy and is produced by the same team who did Big Little Lies (an all-time favorite!) The jury is still out but so far, I like it.

 

 

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

I’m a sucker for a trench coat, and this soft version is so chic! For even more trench coat inspo, check out my post all about them here. 

 

I love the Madewell Transport tote and have it in black. It now comes in a slightly smaller size with a zipper. It’s a great size for travel, and this gorgeous saddle color seems perfect for fall – or all year actually!

 

Another favorite I bought recently is this linen sweater (I bought the pale pink). It’s on sale now and I’m loving this spice color. It’s a great weight for early fall when it’s chilly but not super cold yet.

 

 

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

And since we’re talking Italy, how about a few Italian inspired favorites? This Parmesan Chicken from Barefoot Contessa is a staple in our house. And very different from what many Americans think of as ‘Parmesan Chicken.’ So delicious!

 

And this Chicken Marsala is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite dishes! Easy and oh-so-good. Like, lick the pan good! 😉

Did I mention this is my absolute favorite pumpkin candle ever?! Not only that it’s very reasonably priced – not always easy to find in the world of candles. Win/win!
