Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

It’s been a whirlwind of a week – I’m so happy it’s Friday! My husband has been out of town on business and got back last night which is always nice. 🙂

Looking forward to a date night and finally getting our outdoor spaces in shape!

We need to plant our beds and refresh the pots, but before we can even do that the very non-glamorous job of cleaning and scrubbing needs to happen (Sshh… don’t tell him!)

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

Love, love, love everything about this beautiful home. It’s so warm and inviting and unpretentious. (With a definite French country influence – never a bad thing!)

I’ve been obsessing over my outdoor spaces a bit – they are feeling so tired and weary! First up is a new outdoor rug as ours has seen better days (and I ordered slightly too small). This one is gorgeous and I’ve been eyeing it since last year, but how about this one which is soo similar and half the price? (just ordered – crossing my fingers!) I also really love this one and might order it if the other doesn’t work.

Indoors or out, this hurricane is simply stunning, and this little outdoor table is a new discovery – love the fluted style and the fact that you can also use it for storage!

Our outdoor dining table that my husband made has seen better days so I’ve been searching for a new one. Sadly, he doesn’t want to make another, haha! I absolutely love the look of this one (on sale), and this one is also pretty and a good price. Ideally I’d love for it to be teak, but most of them are pretty pricey. But this one is an amazing price, it’s really large, and has great reviews. I’ll let you know what we decide!

Last year I was hoping to find a potting station but never did. This one recently popped up on Target and I love the look (plus it’s solid mahogany!), and this is the one I was eyeing last year but then it sold out. I also just found this oneso inexpensive! It’s smaller, but still, you can hardly buy wood for that price!

Last week’s best sellers: this cute reversible outdoor pillow and these beautiful wicker trays (perfect for Mom!)

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

Linen loves: this breezy top (so cute in the stripe), this adorable flutter blouse (how cute is it in brown?? Would look so good with white jeans!), this beach sweater (the blue is incredible!), and a great white linen shirt is always a good thing (and comes in 6 other colors, too).

This sweater is the epitome of a beach-y, summery sweater (could not love it more) and I adore this top – like an elevated version of a tee (and a good dupe for the Frame one which is over $100!), and these summer pants (above) could not be cuter and are 40% off.

I’m loving all the cork sandals and shoes that are in right now, this heel is soo versatile (love the raffia version too and it’s only $40) And it’s espadrille time! This pair is a steal at 40% off and come in two pretty colors (I bought them last year and love them).

Last week’s best sellers: this stunning robe (on my own Mother’s Day wish list!), this pretty gold sandal perfect for summer, and these cute wide-legged white jeans.

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

One of my favorite books over the last couple of years was The Last Thing He Told Me and it just got released as a limited series. It’s starring Jennifer Garner and I have to say, I’m excited to see it. It didn’t get great reviews, but I’m going to try it nonetheless. Keeping my fingers crossed!

And we just finally finished Daisy Jones & the Six (another limited series based on a book) and this one was good! We loved it and the actress who plays Daisy is an amazing singer (and she had never sung before!)

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

One of my absolute favorite things about spring is that it’s rhubarb season! I know many people (including my whole family!) don’t like it but I absolutely love the flavor and the tartness it brings.

It’s delicious in desserts, but did you know it can be used for savory recipes, too? This Rhubarb Crisp is so yummy, and I’m dying to try some of these 41 Rhubarb Recipes for Spring!

  1. Nan, Odessa, DE says:

Please give me details about the wire basket on your table at the beginning of your post!!!
    What is it called?
Does it sell with the liner?
    WHERE. Can I buy it?????

    Thanks!

    1. Haha thanks Nan – it is old and was from Pottery Barn. It came with the liner. It comes up on Ebay from time to time, but PB no longer sells it.

      Hope that helps!

      Sheila

  2. Thank you for all the inspirations you send our way! I do get a bit frustrated when links require a subscription, i.e. some of the rhubarb recipes in this week’s post.

    1. Hi Cheryl and thank you – I’m so glad you enjoy them! I’m so sorry about that and I completely understand. I do try to use Food Network and some of the ones that don’t need a subscription as much as I can, but more and more of them seem to be requiring it! I’ll try to be aware of it because I get how frustrating it can be.

Thanks again for the kind words and thanks for stopping by!
