Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Well, we’re back from Europe and off again this morning to Seattle for my son’s college graduation! It’s been a whirlwind, but a good one. Though after this weekend I am looking forward to some time to get my house in order (hello… so much laundry!), work on the yard, and otherwise get ready for summer!

And speaking of summer, let’s talk Friday Favorites!!

You know I have a soft spot for European houses, and this charming example along the English coast is no exception!

Natural fiber rugs are so great, especially in the summer! My seagrass one is here, I love this diamond sisal one, and this jute one is so cute and a serious steal!

Could not love this adorable utensil caddy more (perfect for summer – and that price!) And this marble serving board is one of my favorite things. It’s gorgeous, practical and is way bigger than it looks!

A pretty blue bowl is so lovely on a table for summer. I absolutely love this one (perfect on a coffee table) or this one I own and use on the dining table all season long (it’s large and deep)!

For more blue loveliness, how about these adorable planters? Love!! Or this super cute throw pillow that gives serious Serena & Lily vibes for only $20?! And this set of two prints are so cute and well-priced, too.

And for lots of French-inspiration, check out this book Joie: A Parisian’s Guide to Celebrating the Good Life. It’s come highly recommended and I can’t wait to read it (and could the cover be any prettier?)

I already really liked the store Mango for their fashion forward style at reasonable prices, but then I got to go into one in Europe! I saw this gorgeous floral skirt in the window and knew I had to have it, only to find out they were out of my size. Yay for online shopping because I just ordered it and ended up getting it for 30% off!

You know how much I love linen and the color of this blouse is just stunning.

Another cute summer top is this eyelet sleeveless blouse (40% off now) or this long sleeve version (also 40% off). I’m a sucker for anything eyelet!

And does it get any cuter than these sailor style jeans (above)? Love them in both the denim and the white!

I’ve been looking for a cute little straw bag for night and/or weddings and events. Torn between this one and this one.

You know how last week I was talking about pale gold being the perfect neutral color for heels, especially for summer. I’ve decided flat sandals also look amazing in gold! How gorgeous would these look with white pants or shorts and a tan?!

I shared a couple of months ago about pearls having a resurgence (you can read all about it here). Just purchased these pearl drop earrings and I couldn’t love them more. They’re as perfect with jeans and a tee as they are when you’re dressed up.

If you read my Summer Favorites post then you know I’m a huge fan of Super Goop sunscreens. Now they just added hydrated lip colors to the line up and I can’t wait to try them (they already have great ratings).

Since I’ve been traveling we haven’t been watching much, but it has been full-steam ahead in the reading department! I read a great book on the flight called Wrong Place, Wrong Time.

It’s a mystery and I thought it was so clever, with surprising depth about motherhood (it had me tearing up several times) – loved it!

Have you ever had an Aperol Spritz? I had heard of them, and of course seen them at every table in the spring in Italy, but I never actually tried one until this recent trip to Europe. And I’m a convert. No wonder they drink them every afternoon! I always thought they were drunk mostly in France and Italy but they were ubiquitous in both Germany and Austria as well.

They’re sweet but not too sweet due to the addition of the bitter liquer, refreshing, and low in alcohol which is key to a summer drink, in my opinion. And of course, the color is gorgeous! Like summer in a glass.

This could be my new summer drink!

I’m absolutely in awe of this garden in the U.K. countryside!

  1. Love the blue bowl from Pottery Barn! I always wonder though – what do you put in the bowl when it’s sitting on your table? Just leave it empty?
    Always love your Friday favorites.

    1. Hi Suzanne! I have a similar, large blue bowl from Arhaus and sometimes I have shells in there (during summer). I’ve also put the large beads from Pottery Barn in it, and I also like it empty! When they are so pretty and make such a statement, I think they can stand on their own!

Thanks so much for your kind words – so appreciate it! 🙂
