A classic camel coat is something that every woman should have in her wardrobe. They are truly a staple that will never, ever go out of style. I’m not talking about khaki trench coats (another great staple, by the way), but a carmel-ly colored wool coat. Personally, since it is a bit of an investment, I think a classic style is probably your best bet. But if you have the means to have more than one, there are some different versions out there that are amazing. I love the wrap coat, and a double breasted one is great, too. And as long as you take care of it, a good wool coat can last you a lifetime. And if not a lifetime, certainly a decade! And how many items can you say that about in your closet?
I love that they work with casual as well as dressy outfits. Love this with the chunky sweater and black sneaks. |
Classic winter whites with camel – love them together. |
It’s so unexpected here! Normally you would think of something more casual with her sneakers and striped button down, but this works. |
This is J. Crew doing their funnel coat in the camel color. |
Love it in a toggle version! |

A personal favorite! Notice how so many are paired with black; they go really well together. |
Camel with white is another classic. |
Of course they are elegant paired with classics like work wear slacks and blouses, yet they also look at home with sneakers and jeans. There is such an elegance about them, probably because they have been around so long. Timeless, classic, versatile. And I’m thinking since Spring is out in the stores, it might just be the right time to go shopping as coat sales are sure to be in full swing!
Happy Friday!

Well Karen, you may be right about that! I was so optimistic about the "El Nino" year (you know, the one we are NOT having!) that I went and bought several coats and sweaters in the fall. Sigh…. I need to move to the East where I can dress like that as I just love fall fashion!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Such pretty coats. I'm afraid our coat wearing days may be coming to an end for the season. What do you thing?
