Kitchen & Breakfast Room Refresh

Today we’re sharing how we refreshed our kitchen and breakfast room with just a couple of new pieces from Wayfair!

I’m on a bit of a refresh kick! Since I haven’t changed anything in these two areas in quite some time, it’s been pretty exciting to see how these little changes created such a big impact!

You guys know how much I love Wayfair – they’re one of the absolute best places around to find French-inspired furniture and accessories. So I knew I’d be able to find everything I needed for our kitchen and breakfast room refresh there!

Breakfast Room Before.

The first thing we did was to add some end chairs to our kitchen breakfast area. You might remember when I got the antique table and French café chairs, both of which I love. However, I had always intended on finding end chairs to complete the space but could never really find the right ones. That is, until I did a deep dive at Wayfair!

That’s when I found these adorable upholstered end chairs! They’re incredibly comfortable, reasonably priced, and they’re so versatile. They look as good sitting at a desk as they do at a dining table!

Plus, they are the perfect color of linen, which is so hard to find! It’s not too grey or too yellow.

I also love the stitching detail on both the back cushion and the arms. It adds lots of interest and charm to an otherwise simple chair!

Another new element I wanted to bring to these spaces is to add a runner to the kitchen area. I’ve mentioned before how much I love runners in the kitchen, it just took me awhile to find one that worked and was the right length!

Kitchen Before.

I knew the space in front of the range and refrigerator would be the perfect place to add a runner! But, because the kitchen isn’t large I also knew I was limited to a length of around 6′. And again, Wayfair came through! 

I’m loving the one we picked! This one is the perfect length and the soft blues and grays bring just the right amount of color and interest to this long space!

To be honest, they had so many great options, it was hard to pick! I’m linking more options I love below.

I’m so happy to have finally improved this area since we spend so much time here. My lesson learned over the last few weeks is how much even the smallest changes can create a big impact in your spaces!

A couple of other finds I use in the kitchen: this basket vase is soo adorable – and gives major Nancy Meyers vibes, I’ve had this cake stand for years, and these French linen towels are a favorite!

And Wayfair has tons more French-inspired finds! In fact, I can’t think of a site that carries more options. No matter what your style or what you need for your home, you’ll find it there!
