This gorgeous neutral fall table featuring hydrangeas, white pumpkins and lots of silver brings casual chic style to any fall gathering or Thanksgiving dinner!
I love doing tablescapes, and fall is my absolute favorite season, so combining the two is pretty much perfect in my book. 😉 And of course, Thanksgiving provides the ultimate tablescaping opportunity!
To me, creating a wonderful table setting for family and friends is an act of love. It adds to the specialness of the night, and elevates it in a way that paper plates never could. And for this Thanksgiving table, I wanted to go back to my roots and focus on neutrals.
This table setting uses hydrangeas, white pumpkins, lots of greens and pops of silver to create a neutral fall table that’s perfect for anything from Thanksgiving to a fall dinner party!
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile now, you know that I adore seasonal salad plates, but this table was really all about simplicity. I didn’t use any salad plate, and just let the focus be on the pretty white dinner plates and my new wood grain chargers. I love these!!
The center of the table is adorned with lots of white pumpkins and eucalyptus (my favorite green in any season!), as well as some mercury glass votives.
While the nearby buffet goes completely neutral with white hydrangeas in an antique French planter and a few white pumpkins.
I used eucalyptus as well as a couple of other greens to add some interest to the simple white hydrangeas. My absolute favorite French candleholders are also out for the occasion. Sadly, these are sold out but I linked some similar ones below.
The silver napkin rings are from Pottery Barn. I love their old fashioned charm!
And I adore these cute “Thankful” napkins that I found at Home Goods! I always like to add a nod to the season. Whether it’s using traditional turkey plates, or something as simple as a napkin that expresses our gratefulness, it’s nice to tie in the meaning of the season.
Mercury glass votives add some sparkle.
I also added a tiny eucalyptus sprig to each silver napkin ring.
This neutral fall table features my favorite flax colored linen tablecloth and placemats that have some greys and taupey-beiges.

After all, how many nights a year do we have the chance to create a night of beauty and special memories?
Happy Thanksgiving!

Love, love….love it! The serenity of the scape is so calming. I feel if I sat at that table, I would be whispering. How elegant!!
Sheila says
Aww thanks so much Char! But I can assure you, no one whispers here – we’re all loud, haha!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Just beautiful! Can you link where you got your chairs? I LOVE them!
Sheila says
Thank you Jo Ann! The chairs are vintage, however, I have found similar ones from time to time. This chair (https://rstyle.me/+4M4JyB__dHzsatbOd8rtOQ) is gorgeous and even better I think but no longer comes in white. (you could paint them though if you were motivated!) And I also love these (https://rstyle.me/+chffnSuuPVyAO9v-mQL8eA) which also have a very Swedish feel.
Hope that helps!

Where did you get the eucalyptus?
Sheila says
I bought mine at Trader Joe’s but it’s usually available at any market! And I also linked the faux eucalyptus from Pottery Barn. It looks so real – and can be used over and over!

Hey Sheila……I love your home, it is just so beautiful! I am writing to ask about your DR side board…..what are the 2 colors that you painted it? I am currently repainting my dining room set and would love to repaint my side board the same as yours! Thank you so much for the information and for sharing your lovely home with your followers.
Sheila says
Hi and thanks so much Sharon! I didn’t paint it! It came like that, so unfortunately, I can’t really say. In person the top is a medium gray, and the bottom is a grayish white. Hope that helps!
