While I know most of us won’t be celebrating Easter in the traditional way this year, there’s no reason we can’t make the day feel special! I think it’s even more important during these unprecedented times to keep our traditions going. They ground us, make us feel more normal, and increase our connectedness.
While I absolutely love this lemon pound cake, it seems especially appropriate for where we are right now.
It’s easy. You most likely have every ingredient in your pantry. And if you’re like me and have some lemon trees dropping lemons like crazy, it’s a super tasty way of using them up 😉
Hi friends! It feels like forever since I’ve been on here, though I know that’s not true – I posted just last week! But I think because time is going slowly while we’re all home, and I’ve lost track of what day it is (do any of you feel that way too?), everything feels like it happened weeks ago. Time seems to be simultaneously going fast and slow, haha!
Hello friends and welcome to our weekly dose of French inspiration, another installment of French Country Fridays!
If your “new normal” is anything like mine, then you’re on day 10 (or 9, or 8) of social distancing and isolating.
I don’t know about you, but being creative, or even just dreaming and planning my next project definitely helps! I’ve been living on Pinterest and am enjoying painting our bathroom (you can see the progress on my Instagram stories). I’m planning on sharing a whole post on the plans for that space next week!
Even as the world has changed dramatically in just a few weeks, some things remain the same. Our need to connect. To break bread together. So though we may not be able to have the dinner parties or have friends over the way we usually would, we can (and should) still celebrate together!
Hello all and welcome to French Country Fridays! Hoping you are all healthy and safe, and dealing with this “new normal” as well as can be expected.
I’m also hoping that these posts will be something that will be inspiring for you – as well as something to take your mind off all of what’s going on – if only for awhile. 🙂
