Hello friends, and welcome to another week of French-ish inspiration and our French Country Friday series! My life has finally simmered down some, as last week was graduation and the last of family has now gone. It was wonderful, for sure, but it’s always nice when life calms down and gets back to normal, you know?!
Well, I don’t know about the weather where you are, but this is my first full week of sunshine since last fall, and I’m positively giddy! With Memorial Day behind us (the “official” start of summer 😉 ) and this warm weather, I’m in full-on summer mode!
Hello friends, and welcome to another French Country Fridays! Our weekly series where we all share French-ish inspiration, decor, ideas, and entertaining!
I’m in the midst of graduation fever over here, and needless to say, I’ve been running around like a crazy person! Between the school commitments and trying to get my home ready for family coming, it’s been a little hectic.
Well, we have finally finished our landscape remodel and I can’t believe the difference! With new sod and some new plantings from Lowe’s, we’ve changed the whole look of our yard!
As I shared with you last summer, we embarked on a complete remodel of our yard – both the landscaping and the pool. Unfortunately, because of some very warm weather, we couldn’t sod or do any planting until at least November. And then, we got so much rain, that we couldn’t actually finish until later in the spring. So, it’s later than we planned – 9 months later, actually! But it’s finally done and we are so thrilled with the result!
I love summer entertaining, it’s probably my favorite thing about the season. Dining outside, lingering over good conversation with friends, spending an evening in the backyard. These are all a big part of summer for us. However, I don’t know about you, but our weather is not always cooperative! Especially in these early summer months of May and June. Our days are gloomy, grey, and even rainy. But of course, we still want to entertain!
Welcome to our weekly series, French Country Fridays! It’s been another busy week over here~ I’ve been traveling (last minute college tours) and we’re heading into the end of the school year which is always a little crazy! And next week my son graduates and we have family coming. Why is it that it takes a party for me to finally get projects completed and all the to-do’s done?!
