Hello friends and welcome to French Country Fridays! And Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re celebrating with a romantic dinner with your love, a candy-filled day with your kids, or just a pint of ice cream in front of the TV, I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love!
Every year Pantone releases their much-anticipated “Color of the Year,” and this year, they’ve picked Classic Blue! There’s been a lot of talk about it ever since the release last month, both for and against. Pantone’s official statement says that it “reflects our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.” And decorating with blue is clearly very popular these days.
Hello friends and welcome to French Country Fridays! I hope you’ve all had a good week!
It’s funny, I know it’s only the first week of February but I swear this month is already going so fast! I’ve got lots to do to finish organizing my house, as well as plenty of projects we need to do. And so many posts planned for you guys that I hope to publish in the next couple of months ~ hopefully I can get it all done!

So today, I want to touch on a winter version of one of my most popular posts, French Fashion Essentials.
Hello all and welcome to French Country Fridays! I know it’s the dead of winter many places and some of you are probably already craving spring.
But I think this week’s posts will brighten your day! From pink decor, to antiques, to painting tips, to an office makeover, we’ve got lots of French-ish inspiration that will (hopefully) take your mind off the lack of warmth and sunshine!
Every year I like to create a romantic (but easy!) Valentine’s Day table setting. You see, my husband and I never go out on Valentine’s Day. In fact, I would guess that we haven’t actually gone out on that date in about 15 years!
We found that it was always crowded and the service was incredibly slow. So our solution has been to spend a romantic evening at home enjoying a delicious meal and a nice bottle of wine! (Presents aren’t frowned upon either 😉 )
