Hello friends! Today I’m back with more outdoor inspiration for the summer, but this time, we’re talking summer tablescape ideas! I’m joining the Styled + Set Tour, hosted by my good friend Lory of Designthusiasm. If you’re coming over from Edith and Evelyn Vintage, welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. For even more inspiration, be sure to check out the other stunning tables and entertaining ideas linked at the bottom of the post!
Today I’m sharing one of my favorite tables I’ve ever done, a romantic summer table setting with pink peonies and roses! I don’t know about you, but I am so excited every year when peony season rolls around. Peonies are my all-time favorite flower, and I’m literally running to Trader Joe’s to get as many as I can before their very short season is over. For this table, I let the flowers be the stars. I mean, you don’t need much more when you center a table around pink peonies! 😉
There’s something so relaxing and different about outdoor dining versus a meal that’s eaten inside, don’t you think? For me, it just feels inherently special since I know we have a limited number of nights that we can do it.
I wanted to create a romantic feel with this table, so for the centerpiece, I mixed pink peonies and roses in a vintage champagne bucket. I love the contrast of the elegant bucket against the rough hewn farm table and casual linens.
Vintage silver candlesticks and mercury glass votives add some bling, along with two additional vintage silver pitchers with more roses.
Since the flowers add so much drama, I kept the linens and tableware fairly simple. A flax-colored linen runner and white napkins are simple and earthy.
And my favorite Pottery Barn plates are layered over white plates and wood grain chargers. I love the color of these – they are so versatile and work with almost any table I put together!
Some pretty flowers, vintage elements, linens, and candles create a romantic summer table setting perfect for a special night!
