Hello everyone and welcome to the summer edition of the Styled + Set Entertaining Blog Hop! I’m thrilled to again be joining an amazing group of 21 bloggers, hosted by Lory of Designthusiasm. If you are landing here from my talented friend Randi at Randi Garrett Design, welcome! I’m so happy to have you here. This season, we are all sharing how we entertain for the summer! Today I’m sharing a simple summer tablescape in blue and white. One of my favorite color combos for summer!
Happy “Almost Summer” everyone! Are you getting as excited as I am for some warmer weather and the relaxation that summer brings? I love all the seasons, but there is just something about the carefree, lazy days of summer that I adore. It’s almost as if we all take a collected sigh of relief, and the whole world feels just a little bit lighter. And that’s the vibe I’m going for with my Summer Home Tour this year – lighter, brighter, and relaxing!
I am so in the mood for spring this year! I know we probably all say that every year, but we’ve had such a cold and rainy winter here (for us!) that I just can’t wait to have a little sunshine. But until it actually thaws out a little, I’m starting to think about spring decorating. One color that really screams spring and summer to me is blue. More specifically, the combination of blue and white.
I am still working on re-doing the fabrics in my family room, switching out the accent color of the room from red to blue (you can read about it in this post here). But since I am not done yet, and really want to be, I’m feeling such a craving for blue and white, I can hardly stand it. I’ve been seeing it everywhere, from Pottery Barn, to Pinterest, to photos on Instagram. It is such a refreshing color scheme, like a palate cleanser after a heavy meal. And it feels especially appropriate right now during the summer months. I almost feel cooler just looking at it! (almost…)
