As I’m sure some of you know, my backyard has been in the midst of a remodel for almost the entire past year. We spent last summer remodeling the pool, and then most of the fall finishing the landscaping. And though I haven’t revealed the entire project yet, today I’m sharing one of the newest additions – my new outdoor chandeliers!
For many years, I wanted an antique crystal chandelier in either my dining room and/or entry way. I shopped flea markets and antiques stores, and even Ebay and 1st Dibs, and I kept coming up short. It was hard to find the right size, and of course, the right price! And then, naturally, life would get busy and I’d stop looking. (I never understand people who are such fast decorators! This is definitely not me!) As a result, many years went by with no decent chandelier in either space.
Antique lanterns are something I’ve been smitten with for awhile now. I first fell in love with them when this kitchen was featured in a magazine a few years ago. I didn’t even realize that they were originally French outdoor lanterns, I just knew that I loved them!
