I’m super excited to share this post with you today. I know some of you follow me over on Instagram, and those who do probably know that this past winter we finally took the plunge and ripped out our downstairs carpet and installed hardwood floors. Because of that, I’ve been wanting to do a post sharing the floors for quite awhile now. However, I really wanted to have my rugs in place first, because, let’s face it, rugs can really make the room! And that’s where my problem began.
Vintage Baskets and Charming Ways to Display Them
Today’s post is all about vintage baskets! I have always been a fan of baskets. In fact, when I was in 7th grade I was allowed to “decorate” my room all by myself for the first time, and I chose to hang different sized baskets on the wall over my bed. I don’t quite know where I got the idea, but I do remember loving it! I still love baskets, though now I try to buy vintage baskets whenever I can. There is something so charming about them! They have age and patina that the new ones don’t. And the ones with writing, or buckles or straps? Be still my heart!
Elegant Fall Tablescape in Greens and Creams
Hi everyone and welcome to our Fall Blog Hop. I’ve been very excited for this tour because I love table setting and entertaining, especially as fall and then the holidays roll around! If you love setting tables as well, check out my table settings and tips and advice in my new free e-book!
Friday Favorites – Decorating with Animal Hides
I’m a little late in coming around to the animal hide trend. For a long time it didn’t speak to me; I guess I wasn’t entirely comfortable with it. But I must confess, it has slowly grown on me! Decorating with animal hides can not only look luxurious, but it also brings much needed texture to a room (something that is often missing in interiors). I’m especially drawn to a zebra or cheetah print rug layered over another natural fiber rug underneath. So chic!
Summer Home Tour 2017: Spring into Summer!
Happy “Almost Summer” everyone! Are you getting as excited as I am for some warmer weather and the relaxation that summer brings? I love all the seasons, but there is just something about the carefree, lazy days of summer that I adore. It’s almost as if we all take a collected sigh of relief, and the whole world feels just a little bit lighter. And that’s the vibe I’m going for with my Summer Home Tour this year – lighter, brighter, and relaxing!

I’m such a fan of Brooke Giannetti, and she uses green a lot in her spaces. The subtle touches here are just perfect!
And what if you are not a fan of green? Or, maybe you like it, but you don’t want to change too much or make that big of a commitment. If you have neutral or white interiors, you can incorporate green the natural way with plants or flowers.
