Hello friends and welcome to another installment of French Country Fridays!! It’s been all-fall, all-the-time over here at Maison de Cinq! This week I shared my final fall tour (my living room – you can see that post here) and I also shared what turned out to be one of my favorite tablescapes ever! A Thanksgiving table that is festive and seasonal, but not your typical fall table at all! If you missed that post, you can find it here.
Gathering. Spending time with friends and family around a table. Is there anything better?
That call for gathering that fall brings is probably one of the reasons it’s my favorite season! Even if it’s not Thanksgiving, the season gives you an excuse to throw a roast in the oven and invite some friends over! And Thanksgiving? Well, that is the best holiday of all. I love that it is a truly American celebration. I can’t think of anything more beautiful than spending a day with those we love and giving thanks for all we have.
Well, it’s really fall now – at least in most places! Our weather here has unfortunately resumed it’s summer personality, but I’m hoping for some relief soon. In the meantime, I’m decorating, baking pumpkin bread, and burning my favorite Chai Latté candle. In other words, enjoying all-things-fall!
Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. I look forward to decorating for fall almost as much as I do Christmas! And nothing makes me happier than incorporating things from nature to usher in the season. I naturally gravitate to a more neutral fall palette. As you know, I’m not the biggest fan of the bright oranges and rusts, haha! I like to do a more muted and pared down version of fall. And one of the easiest ways to do that is to incorporate items from nature as part of your seasonal decorating. With fall decorating, a little goes a long way. You don’t need 85 pumpkins on the porch with bales of hay! I sometimes think Pinterest has made us all think we need to go all-out with our seasonal decorating, but I disagree. Just a touch of the season brought in through nature says fall in a subtle way, and reminds us to slow down and enjoy the season we’re in!
Hello there and welcome to French Country Fridays! I absolutely love these posts and the gorgeous inspiration my friends are always sharing ~ and this week is chock full of lots of fall decorating ideas!
Speaking of fall, next week will be my final two fall posts! I’ll be sharing my living room tour as well as another Thanksgiving table, hopefully giving you lots of time to still decorate for the season and plan your entertaining! I’ve posted quite a few of our rooms all decorated for fall over the last couple of weeks. If you missed any of my fall tours so far, you can catch up on them here: kitchen, family room, mantel, and front porch.
Well, it may not be quite fall on the calendar yet, but we are all fall here at French Country Fridays this week!
Here at Maison de Cinq it’s been a busy week! We were all about fall here, too. 😉 I shared a warm and cozy fall table, my family room dressed for fall, and a fun post all about my favorite paint colors! And in case that wasn’t enough inspiration for you, there are more decor and ideas below, so let’s see what beauty my friends are sharing today…
