If you’re a regular reader then you know that I recently made the exciting announcement that I joined the bHome App (You can read all about the app here). And now, those talented ladies invited me to do a Holiday Tour with them, and well, of course I couldn’t say no! This is my third holiday tour this season (one more – stay tuned!) and though it sounds like a lot (especially for a not-so-big house!) I figure it’s better to break it up for all of you anyway. No one wants 50 photos in one post, and this way, I can talk details and really show you each area.
An ottoman used as a coffee table, is actually one of my favorite decorating techniques. It’s a great way to have extra seating in a room, so they work really well in smaller homes. They also add a softness to a space, so if you have a lot of hard edges or your room is “all legs” (meaning you have no slipcovered furniture) they can also help even that out. Also, if you need a larger size coffee table which can sometimes be hard to find, an ottoman can often be ordered in a custom size to get exactly what you need. And of course, they are super comfortable to put your feet up on! For that reason, coffee table ottomans work especially well in family rooms.
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! If you’re coming here from my friend Oscar’s, welcome! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. And if you’re a regular reader, today I have something special to share with you! This week I’m joining 13 amazing bloggers and we’re sharing our ideas on how to style your home for spring. We’re all doing a different take on the season. Some are doing tablescapes, some just a room, and some a whole house. There are a ton of ideas and all different styles, so you’re bound to find some inspiration! Today I’ll be sharing my new spring kitchen with you all!
I am so in the mood for spring this year! I know we probably all say that every year, but we’ve had such a cold and rainy winter here (for us!) that I just can’t wait to have a little sunshine. But until it actually thaws out a little, I’m starting to think about spring decorating. One color that really screams spring and summer to me is blue. More specifically, the combination of blue and white.

|I’m such a fan of Brooke Giannetti, and she uses green a lot in her spaces. The subtle touches here are just perfect!|
And what if you are not a fan of green? Or, maybe you like it, but you don’t want to change too much or make that big of a commitment. If you have neutral or white interiors, you can incorporate green the natural way with plants or flowers.

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe that 2016 is already over. And yes, I know we all say that every year, but as I’ve gotten older I have found that the years have started to practically fly by! One of the things I think we all like to do at the end of the year is to take stock in what has been accomplished. So, I thought it would be fun to share with you my Top Ten Posts of 2016. I always enjoy looking at what you’ve liked and commented on most. It’s also interesting for me to see if my most “popular” posts are more decor or fashion oriented, since I do talk about both. This year, it was definitely more home design oriented, but there were still two fashion posts that made the list. So, without further ado, here they are…..

I partnered with a group of some of my favorite blogger friends to present different ways of decorating a holiday table. Collected Look Essentials #5- Style MixI was so happy to see that one of my posts from the Collected Look Series was included in the Top Ten Posts of 2016! This series is about how to get a “collected look” in your home decor, and it’s also one of which I am most proud. It’s something that I truly believe in and that I strive to achieve in both my own home and those of my clients. If you click on the #5 post, you can also get to the previous four posts in the series.6. Friday Favorites – The LWD And the first fashion post debuts at the 6th most popular post of the year! This post was during last summer so of course, it’s very seasonal. However, it’s also timeless. A clean, crisp white dress is a classic and always in style! =&15=&
