So for those of you who’ve only been subscribing for a short time, this fashion post may seem a little out of the blue, haha! But actually, I started my career in fashion (I was a stylist for almost 20 years), and I used to post about fashion much more often. So today, I want to touch on a winter version of one of my most popular posts, French Fashion Essentials.
UPDATE: JULY 24TH!!
So now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public, I’m back for an update! As I mentioned before, things sell out fast so some of what I recommended is gone. But the good news is, many of my items are still in stock – yay! And for the things that are gone, I was able to find similar options for most of them! You’ll still want to use your Nordstrom card if you have one so you can get the points. In fact, I usually use my Anniversary Sale shopping day(s) as one of my double or triple point days to rack up those Nordstrom notes!
Okay, I’ll admit, I wasn’t jumping for joy when jumpsuits first started popping up a few years ago. In fact, I was fairly resistant to the jumpsuit trend, and I’m not at all sure why! They’re chic, stylish, and could there be an easier way to throw an outfit together?!
Hi everyone! Today is a very special Thursday as it is the first day of Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! That means if you are a Nordstrom card holder, you can shop the sale today, 8 days before the general public! So if you are not already a cardholder, I highly recommend you become one (click here to apply)! Not only do you get access to this amazing sale-of-all-sales well before the public, but you also earn points for every dollar spent! However, if you don’t want another credit card, have no fear, you can peruse my list here and make some notes on items you like, and shop on July 20th when the sale goes public!
As I’m sure you know by now, I’m a bit of a Francophile 😉
I love French interiors, and I consider my home to be at least somewhat French-inspired. But along with French decor and design, I also love French style! And when I say French style, I don’t mean Fashion Week in Paris or Coco Chanel, though those are fun, too. No, I’m talking the chic, everyday style of fashionable French women.
There is nothing like a pop of leopard print to brighten up an outfit! I tend to favor it in accessories rather than in actual clothing items, but I’ll take it either way! And it adds so much to even something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt. In fact, what I love about it the most is the way it can make even a simple outfit look chic!
