Good morning friends, and welcome to French Country Fridays! I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely ready for fall now! Fall is officially here tomorrow, but the blogging world has been heating up with tours and decor galore, and it’s gotten me excited and inspired for the change of seasons. And our weather has cooled down enough that I don’t have the A/C on all day so at least there’s that, haha!
Hi friends! It’s been busy here at Maison de Cinq as I’m sharing my second fall tour in a week! I’m thrilled to be a part of the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Tour, hosted by Krista from The Happy Housie. Today I’m joining seven other bloggers and we’re all sharing our fall tours, with over 35 total sharing during this week. If you’re coming to me from Deeply Southern Home and are new to my blog, welcome! Be sure to scroll down to the end of the post to see all the inspiration!
I am so thrilled to be joining a fabulous fall blog hop put on by my very talented friend Kristen of Ella Claire. Today I’ll be sharing my fall family room all wrapped up in it’s warm colors of fall!
Much like I did with the living room mantel I shared last week, I went with what I consider to be traditional fall colors, but in more muted and slightly toned down shades. I love that the colors make the house feel cozy and warm, yet they are subtle enough to work in my mostly neutral house.
Well, fall has finally appeared! No, not in the weather department, unfortunately, but Trader Joe’s got pumpkins this week which means it’s officially here, haha! 😉
I’ve just started my fall decorating and I’ve taken a very different direction than the neutral fall decor of the last couple of years. I shared my fall mantel this past week, and I’d love to know what you think! And I have more fall tours coming up in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that.
For many years, I wanted an antique crystal chandelier in either my dining room and/or entry way. I shopped flea markets and antiques stores, and even Ebay and 1st Dibs, and I kept coming up short. It was hard to find the right size, and of course, the right price! And then, naturally, life would get busy and I’d stop looking. (I never understand people who are such fast decorators! This is definitely not me!) As a result, many years went by with no decent chandelier in either space.
Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I’m excited to be sharing my first fall decorating post of the season and it’s all about fall mantels! (This tour is hosted by my friend Krista and there are lots of other bloggers all sharing so be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post to see all the inspo!)
