Hi all, and Happy First Day of Spring! I’m so excited to be sharing my first spring home tour of the season, and I’m joined by eleven of my favorite bloggers who are also sharing their very best spring decorating ideas! If you’re landing here from my friend Lory’s, thanks so much for stopping by. She always has the most beautiful flowers, and I have a feeling this tour will be no exception!
Happy Friday! It’s time for another week of French Country Fridays where we all share French design, decor, DIYs, and entertaining ideas each week.
This week I’ve been feeling so much better. I’ve finally been driving so, of course, one of my first outings was to the antique mall (shocker there)! Not only did it feel so good just to do some “normal” things again, but I found the most amazing French urn! I’ll be sharing it next week when my spring blog hop goes live on Tuesday. I have ten friends joining me so I hope you’ll tune in for that!
I’ve been playing around with the decor on my mantel quite a bit lately. It’s so easy at Christmas; between the garland and the stockings, it’s pretty much a no-brainer. But at other times of the year, I like to change it around and sometimes it takes me awhile to get it just right. That’s how I ended up with three versions of a spring mantel 🙂
Happy Friday, and welcome to another French Country Fridays where we celebrate all things French-ish! I am so thrilled at the response we’ve had to this series! Looks like you all love French inspiration as much as we do 🙂
For me, my love of French Country or French Farmhouse style really lies in the casual spirit of it. It mixes old and new, elegant and casual, in an offhand way that I just love. This style values patina and age, so that things that are chipped or scratched are not only still used, but still loved. Good thing, since much of my furniture is pretty distressed from real life with three kids! My “casual chic” aesthetic really stems from this. The mix of a crystal chandelier with a rusted bucket. Or a chippy table holding a silver candlestick. That mix is what really makes my heart skip a beat!
Hi all and welcome to another week of French Country Fridays, where we all share some French-ish style, decor, or inspiration!
This week I’m talking about my love for French bread boards, how to find them, and where to score them! Also, my desire for spring will be getting just a little bit of fulfillment next week as I’ll be doing my first Easter tablescape, so stay tuned for that!
Happy Friday all! I hope you’ve been having a good week so far. Today is the second installation of our new weekly series, French Country Fridays!
But before I share what all of us have been up to this week, I wanted to give you a little update on what’s been going on here at Maison de Cinq. Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad accident this past weekend – I managed to fall down our stairs and break my back. You know that saying “broken back”? Well, it’s an actual thing! The only reason I’m mentioning it is so that you won’t be surprised if my posting has slowed down a bit. It’s very difficult to type and/or blog because I can’t lie on my back and I definitely can’t sit! So, for the next couple of weeks I’ll be doing as much as I can but it may be a little less than the “norm.” I hope you’ll stay around during this time knowing that I will be back in full force in just a couple of weeks!
