I have always loved Fridays. The way that the whole weekend is spread out ahead of you, just full of possibility. There is just nothing like that feeling! We usually spend our Friday nights making homemade pizza and all watching a movie together, and it’s one of my absolute favorite things we do as a family. So, here’s to Fridays, and inspiring you with another week of French Country Fridays!
One of the things that I’ve focused on over this last year is really nailing down my neutral palette, and changing the things that don’t fit within it. And one of the things on my very long to-do list was to style the book shelves in my family room. These shelves are big and dominate the whole room, so their effect on the room is significant. I actually re-styled them once before (you can see that post here), and it was my highest read post of 2016!
Hi everyone and welcome to another French Country Fridays! I hope you’ve all had a fun week. I’m actually writing this from Charleston which is where I am for the Haven conference – lots of good food, pretty streets, and humidity!
If you didn’t get a chance to check it out, my post on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale went live this morning! I’m sharing all my top choices in women’s fashions and shoes! If you want great deals on brand-new-for-fall sweaters, coats, boots, shoes, and jeans, you have to check it out! You can find the post here.
As I’m sure some of you know by now, we have been in the middle of a pool and backyard renovation for the last couple of weeks (you can see some of the progress in my Instagram stories). I’ve had quite a lot of interest and various questions about what I’m doing, and how we decided on our choices, so I thought today it would be fun to share with you my design process for the renovation. I’m going to show you the outdoor spaces that were inspiring me, my mood board, and also share with you how I changed it all halfway through, lol!
Hi everyone and welcome to our French-ish inspired weekly series, French Country Fridays! I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July! Though I was disappointed that we didn’t get to celebrate and entertain friends here in our not-done-yet backyard, we managed to have a fun day nonetheless. But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t anxious to finish!

Today I’m sharing a fun new tool that the Corian® Design brand has developed called the Corian Moodboard Maker! As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes design, this is right up my alley.
Corian® has developed a tool where you can go develop your own “moodboard.” By combining photos and textures, you can create a unique inspiration board for your design. You can use it to plan a room, serve as an inspiration board, or even as a memento of a trip. The sky’s the limit to what you can create. Not only that, once you’ve made your moodboard, you can save and download it and print it out to keep, or even frame it as art in your home!
