Hello friends and welcome to French Country Fridays! I’ve been busy this week finishing up my holiday decorating – it’s been about a week already and I’m still not done! I’ve been taking it slow and just adding a bit at a time. But I do need to be done soon since I have some more posts coming up in the next few weeks 😉 . If you missed my holiday posts that I’ve shared so far, you can catch them here: Christmas Kitchen in Blue, Romantic Holiday Entry Way, and my first holiday table of the season!
This is truly the season where I’m in my element. I love hosting dinners, parties and get togethers, especially at this time of year. Everything feels extra festive and it’s such a special time to create memories with those we love.
So today I’m sharing my first holiday table setting of the season! I always host Christmas, so for me, there is a practical reason to be planning and styling in preparation for the holidays. But, whether you host a dinner party, a casual holiday event like a tree-trimming party, Hanukkah, Christmas Eve dinner, or something else, this table setting is perfect and easily adaptable!
I’m back from a quick trip to Austin (and the Magnolia Market and the Silos – so fun!) and I’m officially ready for Christmas now! Between the cool weather there and the gorgeous holiday decor at the market (and the Christmas music!), it’s really gotten me in the mood! And that’s a good thing, since today I have a special Christmas post for you 😉
Hello friends, and welcome to French Country Fridays! This week I’m at a blogging conference in Austin so I’m writing from a hotel room and of course, for a mother of three, any hotel room in any city is a vacation! I can’t even tell you how lovely it is to have a giant bed all to myself, and of course, the peace and quiet is nice, too. I’m luxuriating in not “having” to do anything, enjoying going out and also, staying in and ordering room service! I mean, is there anything more decadent than room service in a hotel?!
Can you believe it’s that time of year again?! Today I’m sharing my first Christmas post of the season, and I can hardly believe it’s been a year since last year’s holiday posts!
I’m joining an amazingly talented group of 15 other bloggers for our annual Seasons of Home Holiday series, hosted by Kristen of Ella Claire & Co., and we’re all sharing our Christmas kitchen decor. I know it can seem a little early for some (especially my husband, haha! 😉 ) but our idea in sharing early is to give you ideas for your own holiday decorating. I find that when I’m planning I start looking on Pinterest for inspiration and ideas around this time, so we want you to get inspired ~ even if you’re not decorating for a few weeks yet!
It’s hard to believe it’s already November! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! This was the first year in over 20 years that we didn’t carve any pumpkins, and I have to say, it was a little sad. Our kids are older and we were both working, so that is a new normal that I am not accustomed to yet for sure. I kinda miss my days of trying the fancy Martha Stewart pumpkin carving and failing, haha!
