Hello everyone and welcome to our early fall blog hop! Today I’m joining 11 fellow bloggers to bring you some fall and Halloween inspiration. If you have landed here from my friend Mysha at Remington Avenue, welcome! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. We’re hoping to inspire you with lots of fall decorating ideas, and today I’m sharing this year’s simple and neutral fall mantel.
I know I’ve said this before (I know!) but I love fall so much! And the last couple of years, I’ve found myself drawn to a more neutral fall decor palette. And since I have to do my Christmas decorating a little earlier this year due to my blog hop coming up, I wanted to touch on fall and Thanksgiving for just a little while longer. At least for this week! After that, I might be forced to give in…
I absolutely adore white pumpkins! I’m sure this comes as no surprise, seeing as how I love white everything! But I am especially smitten with these. I don’t know about you, but they definitely weren’t around when I was growing up. There were plain old orange ones and that was it! And let’s face it, there aren’t a lot of houses where bright orange decor really works 😉
I don’t know about any of you, but I certainly never saw white pumpkins when I was growing up! I think one of the reasons I was not big on decorating for fall and/or Halloween for the longest time was the whole orange pumpkin thing.
It just didn’t mesh with my colors or my decor and so, although fall is my absolute favorite season, I really didn’t put out that much or buy very many pumpkins. The orange was just a disaster with all the blues and greens in my house, and really bad with the reds in my family room!
