Hello everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am definitely ready for spring! Here in California it has been so, so rainy this year and unseasonably cold! I’m sure not cold to any Easterners, but cold for us, haha! 😉 All the grey days have made me even more ready for spring than usual, so I’ve been bringing in lots of flowers to cheer up the house. I find flowers brighten up even the darkest days, and make the house feel much more cheerful – even in the dead of winter!
Hey everyone~ welcome to another French Country Fridays! Before we get into the post, I have to apologize. I don’t think I’ve ever gone a whole week without posting – until this week! And what’s funny is I’ve had more hectic weeks for sure. I’ve just been crazily organizing and purging and somehow, the week got away from me. I’ve been quite taken with the whole “tidying” craze, ie; “Marie Kondo-ing”!! What can I say? I’m completely hooked!
Hi all, and Happy First Day of Spring! I’m so excited to be sharing my first spring home tour of the season, and I’m joined by eleven of my favorite bloggers who are also sharing their very best spring decorating ideas! If you’re landing here from my friend Lory’s, thanks so much for stopping by. She always has the most beautiful flowers, and I have a feeling this tour will be no exception!
I’ve been playing around with the decor on my mantel quite a bit lately. It’s so easy at Christmas; between the garland and the stockings, it’s pretty much a no-brainer. But at other times of the year, I like to change it around and sometimes it takes me awhile to get it just right. That’s how I ended up with three versions of a spring mantel 🙂
If you’ve got some Easter or spring events to plan for, then this is definitely the post for you! Today I’m joining some of my blogging friends for an Easter Blog Hop, where we’re all bringing you our Easter decor ideas. If you’re coming here from Kim and Lacey’s at Styled with Lace, thanks so much for stopping by! There are twelve of us joining in over a two day period, so there’ll be lots of Easter decor ideas and inspiration for you! You can get to the friends joining me today, as well as all the bloggers who posted yesterday, at the end of the post!
Decorating with cloches is one of my favorite ways of highlighting something special or adding interest to a vignette. So although I’ve spoken of my love for glass cloches before on the blog, I thought it might be time to revisit the subject!
I first saw and fell in love with them years ago in Paris. They are all over the beautiful bakeries in that city. But at that time, I never saw them here in the United States. I’m not sure why they took so long to appear here, but I’m so glad they did!
