Okay, I know I said I like winter. And I said I like rain. And I do. Except when it’s been weeks and weeks of it!
But this week we finally got some sun – and it felt so good! It’s still cold, but at least the grey skies are gone for now (though an Alaskan storm is supposed to bring snow this week – snow!!) If you’re anything like me, you’re ready for spring to arrive, so today I’m sharing some simple spring decorating in the kitchen.
Hello everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am definitely ready for spring! Here in California it has been so, so rainy this year and unseasonably cold! I’m sure not cold to any Easterners, but cold for us, haha! 😉 All the grey days have made me even more ready for spring than usual, so I’ve been bringing in lots of flowers to cheer up the house. I find flowers brighten up even the darkest days, and make the house feel much more cheerful – even in the dead of winter!
Hey everyone~ welcome to another French Country Fridays! Before we get into the post, I have to apologize. I don’t think I’ve ever gone a whole week without posting – until this week! And what’s funny is I’ve had more hectic weeks for sure. I’ve just been crazily organizing and purging and somehow, the week got away from me. I’ve been quite taken with the whole “tidying” craze, ie; “Marie Kondo-ing”!! What can I say? I’m completely hooked!
Today’s post is a special one that I’ve never done before, and I’m excited to share it with you! Lisa of Shine your Light, Kris of Driven by Decor, Pam of Simple Details and Jennifer of Dimples and Tangles do a Five Favorite posts every month and they always ask a guest blogger to contribute. This month is all about Summer Essentials, and I was thrilled that they asked me to join them! Summer is definitely a favorite season of mine, and I love that I get a chance to share my favorite summer essentials with you.
This spring, stripes are everywhere. From the classic French black and white tees, to bright striped dresses and tops, to cute, flowy pants. Just like gingham, they are one of my absolute favorite spring trends. They look crisp and fresh, even when the weather warms up. They’re timeless, practical, classic, and easily wearable. And how many things can we say that about?
