I think I’ve shared with you before that I never really decorated much for Halloween, mostly because I am not generally a fan of orange. But once those adorable little white pumpkins became available a few years ago, and stores started carrying all kinds of Halloween decor in black mixed with silver or white, I definitely got more into it. I love that it makes the holiday so much more elegant and sophisticated. So in honor of the holiday coming up in just a few days, I thought I would bring you some black and white Halloween inspiration…..
Usually I only decorate for Halloween outside. Well, until last year, that is. It all started when I purchased the cutest Halloween plates on sale (yay!) from Williams Sonoma. I fell in love with them, and used them in last year’s tablescape. And because that was so fun, and also because I wanted to use them again, I decided to do another one this year. I did want to mix it up a little though, so even though I used the same plates, I tried to use different items everywhere else. And I didn’t want it to be too scary – we don’t really do scary here. This is what I came up with……
I absolutely adore fall, it’s by far my favorite season. And one of the things I look forward to most is pumpkin everything! To say I love anything pumpkin would probably be an understatement. I love pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, but maybe most of all, I love a pumpkin scented candle! I start burning them in September and would probably burn them all year if it weren’t for the fact that Christmas comes around! And since I have purchased many pumpkin candles over the years, I thought I would share with you my absolute favorites. There is nothing worse than running home with that new candle, all excited to burn it for the first time, only to find out it’s too strong or that it smells weird, too sweet, or not at all! So the idea is to save you from all that. These are tested; tried and true! Long lasting, amazing smelling, and usually, soy based which is a little healthier.
