I have become completely obsessed with the spring trend of pleated skirts. It all started with my 805 Living spread that I worked on in February. I put the model in an Alice + Olivia hot pink chiffon pleated maxi skirt, and though that skirt is totally inappropriate for my life, I loved it!
I’m in love with Hunter rain boots, and have been for quite awhile. I first fell in love with them when I saw them on several celebrities and fashion bloggers a few years back. However, seeing as we don’t normally get a ton of rain here in California (and the last few years, hardly any!), I could never really justify the expense. However, I guess I coveted them for so long that my husband felt badly for me, so he bought me some for Christmas this year! I can’t tell you how excited I am!
It’s that time again! Spring is in the air, at least here in Los Angeles. And though I know we need more winter (here in LA that equals more rain!), I am so looking forward to spring dressing. There is something about spring, with it’s focus on renewal, that just makes you want to “wake up” your wardrobe a little!
I thought I would start out today talking about wardrobe “investment pieces.” Many of you have heard the term before but don’t really know what it means or how to apply it to your closets. I’ve also had a lot of friends ask me, “How do I know what to spend on and what not to? And what if things go out of style?” Well, I’m here to (try to) clarify all of that for you!
