Warm & Woodsy Christmas Table Setting with Greenery & Pinecones

This woodsy Christmas table setting features tiny trees, pinecones, and lots of greenery to create a warm and inviting table that feels casual yet elevated – and very festive!

If you’ve been following me for awhile now then you know I love entertaining and creating tablescapes. In the past I’ve mentioned how I often create a table around whatever salad plate I’m using.

But this year, instead of using a patterned salad plate to create my theme, I was inspired by these tiny trees!

I found them in the dollar aisle at Target and I was immediately smitten! They’re so cute and simple – right up my alley. And of course, they can be used year after year. (You can get a similar look using tiny bottle brush trees like these).

I think they’d also look great with a cute name tag attached to them if you’re doing formal seating.

The centerpiece is a vintage French stoneware pitcher filled with lots (and lots!) of greenery! I purchased the eucalyptus and some cedar, along with the St. John’s Wort (white berries) at Trader Joe’s. And then I augmented with some larger faux cedar.

Seriously you guys, investing in just a few faux cedar or juniper branches has been the best thing I’ve done!

Sometimes I can find greenery at the market, but oftentimes it’s sold out. This gives me the freedom to create something fuller without spending a ton, and of course, it lasts much longer, too! And I only used a little ‘faux.’

I think that’s the key to keeping your arrangements looking real. Use mostly real, and then no one’s the wiser when you fill it out with a little bit of faux! 😉

The tiny tree is a sweet nod to the season, and I love the way it stands out on the white plates.

I layered my everyday white dinner plates over a rustic gold charger, and then a salad plate over that. Flatware is older Pottery Barn, very similar pattern here.

The napkins are a pretty patterned one with more greenery and pinecones. A gold napkin ring makes a simple but beautiful statement.

Simple glass hurricanes (these are the small, larger version is here) bring candlelight and sparkle to the table. I always have some kind of candles on every table – there’s nothing like it for making everything feel festive!

More cedar and eucalyptus, along with pinecones large and small, run down the center of the table.
